UUCGV Religious Education Programs: 2009-2010
These are programs that teach our congregation about Unitarian Universalism and the UU belief system, as well as the traditions from which we draw our spiritual guidance. Click on the links below to see more detailed information.
Reverend Wendy Jones is our Director of Religious Education. She is available for meetings and calls on Tuesday mornings from 9-11 am at the congregational building, and also can arrange other meeting times by appointment. Call the office, extension 3.
Children's Religious Education (RE)
Children's RE classes occur during the church service each week, except during the summer. We have Sunday morning classes for all school-age kids, as well as a nursery for those below school age. The children begin the service at 10:30 with the adults for our chalice lighting, special music, and a "For All Ages" lively talk/ book reading/ discussion. At about 10:45 they go to their classes, grouped by age. Classes use national UU Association curriculum. Click the link above for more information.
Adult Religious Education (Adult RE)
These groups meet at times other than Sunday mornings. The groups pick their own content materials. They are "groups" and can be found under the "Groups" listing under “Congregational Activities.” Click the link above for more information, or on the Activities link.
