Stewardship - Social Action - Special Events, report by Monte High

Stewardship:

no news at this time. They did not meet for the summer.

Social Action:

Request for concert, Zimmerman. Still unsure of feasibility and date (October) of proposed concert. $15 cover charge with 80/20 split with church.

Schedule and trainings are up for Homeless Overflow.

First meeting after summer break is the third Saturday of September (17).

Special Events:

Weekly Band Jam Series – raise $325 for each the church and the nonprofit Partners. They had two security guards for the building and parking lot. This month's money will go to The House, a teen homeless shelter. The headliner band each month chooses the charity.

This month’s event is scheduled for September 16.

Robin is hoping to switch the event to October 28, Halloween weekend, because he's out of town the previous week— if nothing else is scheduled for that time. He doesn't think the youth has anything planned for Halloween.
