The UUCGV Board meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month, at 7:00 pm at the MDS building (corner of 10th and Grand). All are welcome to attend.

Men's Cooking group

Join with the congregation's men (age 15 and older) to cook, converse, and consume! This is held off-site, with the men taking turns hosting. Each month a different cuisine is chosen by the group, such as Czech, Southern, etc.

Services are every Sunday from 10:30 to 11:30 am, followed by coffee hour. Religious Education classes are offered for kids from elementary school to high school from September through May. A staffed (free) nursery is available for children under school age. Sermons are offered by our minister Reverend Zakir Lawrence Henson, and occasionally by members of our congregation or guest speakers. We are a Welcoming Congregation, actively seeking new members and friends!

Kathy Ziola will share an introduction to Compassionate Communication. This is a powerful and practical model and a way of being that moves us away from judgment, blame and criticism and toward deeper understanding and heartfelt connection with others. Kathy Ziola, MA, is a Certified Trainer with the Center for Nonviolent Communication and has been teaching Compassionate Communication in the US and Canada for the past five years.
