Creation is a process. That process is called evolution. Some of the most amazing pieces of knowledge to come to us in the past few years are about how the universe is still in the process of creating itself. With the Hubble telescope we are realizing how completely amazing it is to be alive, aware, and in awe. There is a show in process and we’re part of it.

Interweave is the Unitarian Universalist Association's group for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered people and their allies.

Stewardship Kickoff: Potluck & Townhall meeting (Sanctuary, from Feb 28, 2010 10:00 AM to Feb 28, 2010 10:30 AM)

The Stewardship Campaign is when the congregation comes together to pledge its monetary support to each other. In conjunction with this, the Board schedules a Townhall meeting to report on what's been happening and to hear the congregation's concerns. A potluck for all comes after the service (10:30) and before the meeting (12:15).

Soup Kitchen (Catholic Outreach Center, from Feb 13, 2010 09:00 AM to Feb 13, 2010 02:00 PM)

One way UUCGV supports the community's homeless by volunteering to prepare and serve a meal once a month. Our day is the 2nd Saturday of the month. Cooks work from 9am - 11:30 preparing food from the shelter's pantry. Servers work from 12:00 - 2:00 serving and cleaning up. Both shifts are welcome to have lunch at 11:30am.

Come join in the singing and playing -- you don't have to be a professional! A group gathers to make beautiful music once a month, 2nd Fridays.
