Short Story Group (Sanctuary, from Jan 04, 2010 07:00 PM to Jan 04, 2010 08:30 PM)

Meets the 1st and 3rd Mondays. We read about 40 - 50 pages (usually 2 short stories) and discuss. We are currently going through the 2009 PET/O'Henry Prize Winners, and will choose another book in February.

The service will be a celebration of life and continuation. The beginning of the pledge campaign started a journey and the end of the canvass symbolizes the on going lives of our community as expressed in the renewal of the congregation 15 years ago.

As the pledge campaign comes to an end we are reminded of the importance of our children. We seek to inspire and educate our children not to believe a doctrine or creed, but to discern that which is important. The sermon will look back to Channing and the founding of our congregations and forward to the future of the free and liberal church.

It combines live music and poetry with stunning, multi-image slides to create a stirring celebration of the natural world.
