Though the sermon is titled "Looking Forward" I am again exploring how we relate to the world except I'm asking what would our actions look like if we not only lived by covenant but if we pledged to do those things we covenant to. Is it merely semantic or does the thought of pledging to right relations carry more weight than a covenant. It seems to me that a pledge is far less abstract than covenant.
