Circle Suppers are Forming! -- Sign up at church
These are groups of about 6 people who like to convene over food,
beverages, and good company – perhaps in reverse order. This is your own
gathering, at your own pace, in your own way, at your own homes. Gary D
will be taking the current list of interested folks and adding those of you who want
to give this a try. Let him know of your interest! If you are not currently
signed up to be included in Circle Suppers, please send an e-mail to Gary D
we'll get you with a group in the next round.
Ongoing Congregation Activities
You will find in this section much about the activities we are involved in as a Congregation. An example list includes:
- Sunday Services
- Children & Youth Religious Education
- Adult Religious Education
- Teams: these standing groups meet regularly to accomplish church needs. We hope that new members & friends will join at least one team. It's a great way to meet people and get involved. The following is a list of our teams, but click on the TEAM link to see more information about each one.
- Care Team, Social Action Team, Membership Team, Property Team, Worship Team, Special Events Team, Finance Team, Auction Team, Publicity Team, Leadship Development Team, Long Range Planning Team
- Clubs/Groups: these are occasional meetings of folks who are interested in a certain activity. These tend to be more about socializing, talking, having fun, getting to know one another in the context of the activity. - Men's Cooking Group, Book Club, Interweave (previously called the "Welcoming Congregation Team"), Short Story group, Black Canyon Adult Study group, Adult RE study group, 2nd Saturday Soup Kitchen, Relay for Life, Circle Suppers, Chalice Circles & Choir
When We Meet for Church
Worship services are from 10:30 to 11:30 am on Sunday mornings, 1022 Grand Ave, Grand Junction. The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Grand Valley - UUCGV - is affiliated with the Unitarian Universalist Association, and is a progressive religious community (www.uua.org) .
Religious Education Classes for Children - Kindergarten through High School
We provide religious education classes for children and youth in kindergarten through high school on Sunday mornings from 10:30-11:30 am. Childcare is available during the service for children younger than school age.
